Playoff Bracket & Preview

Wen Bo locked up the number 1 seed last Sunday with a win over Houlihan L., so they'll be facing the Hangovers in the first game of the day on Sunday. Real Ready picked up the number 2 seed with the Houlihan L. loss, and the two teams will be facing up at around 1:15PM. The winners of each game will play each other at 2:30pm and one will be crowned the champion of the innaugural season of ABC Hoops.
Each team has faced each other at least once during the season, and here's a summary of the action:

12:00PM (1) Wen Bo vs (4) Hangovers
Wen Bo beat the Hangovers in both their matchups this season: one in Week 3 and one in Week 6. Wen Bo didn't shoot as well as they usually do in the first matchup with the Barnett-less Hangovers, but still managed to win by 7. In the second meeting of the teams, top-scorer Barnett played, but the team still lost--and by a larger margin. It's interesting to note that Wen Bo over the course of the season shot .322 from beyond the arch, but the Hangovers held them to .172 in both games.
Key Matchups:
David S. 21 PPG, .417 3P%, .727 FT%
Barnett 15.4 PPG, 7.4 RPG

1:15PM (2) Real Ready vs (3) Houlihan L.
Real Ready lost to Houlihan L. by 9 points in their only matchup of the year: Week 3. Richie C. of Real Ready had a huge game--scoring 28 points--but was held to an unusually low Three Point Percentage. Allan Z. of Houlihan L. also had a big game--scoring 25 points. The league leaders in rebounds Rohan P. of Real Ready and Scott M. of Houlihan L. were both absent in this game, but Houlihan L. out-rebounded Real Ready by a margin of 14.
Key Matchups:
Richie C. 31.5 PPG, 7-13 from 3PT in his last game
Allan Z. 17.4 PPG, .526 3P%

Potential Finals Matchup: (1) Wen Bo vs (2) Real Ready
Real Ready handed Wen Bo its only loss of the season in Week 7 after being defeated by Wen Bo in Week 2. The previous two games between these teams have been some of the best games seen in ABC Hoops this season. Richie C. had a monster game in Week 2 scoring 39 points, but David S., Irvin, and Edmund scored 17, 17, and 20 respectively and were able to come ahead by 3 points. Week 7 saw the second overtime game of the season, and despite being close for the entirety of the game, Real Ready was able to pull away in OT.

Potential Finals Matchup: (1) Wen Bo vs (3) Houihan L.
Wen Bo dominated Houlihan L. in Week 1 winning by 20 points, and they were able to pull away from a close game in Week 8 and win by 6. David S., Irvin, and Edmund had big games in Week 1, and it seems Wen Bo leads Houlihan L. to be a bit careless with the ball with 22 steals total in the two games. Daniel M. of Houlihan L. was perfect shooting field goals in the Week 8 matchup and led the team in scoring.

Potential Finals Matchup: (2) Real Ready vs (4) Hangovers
Real Ready beat the Hangovers by 9 in their only matchup of the season in Week 4. Richie C. was held to only 14 by the Hangovers, but Pat of Real Ready was able to pick up the slack by scoring 15. Barnett too was held to an uncharacteristic 9 points, but Jon W. picked it up and scored 15 points. This game was interesting in that Real Ready dominated the 1st half, and despite the Hangovers outscoring Real Ready in the 2nd, the Hangovers could not able overcome their dismal first half performance.

Potential Finals Matchup: (3) Houlihan L. vs (4) Hangovers
The Hangovers beat Houlihan L. by 7 in their only matchup of the season in Week 5. Barnett scored 22 and Larry L. helped him out by dropping 10 points and grabbing six boards. Scott M. and Allan Z. scored 13 and 14, respectively but the shorthanded Houlihan L. lost to the Hangovers after being outscored in the second half by 13 points.

Remember, the schedule on Sunday will be as follows:
12:00 - (1) Wen Bo vs (4) Hangovers
1:15 - (2) Real Ready vs (3) Houlihan L.
2:30 - Winners of both games play for the championship!
