Day Job:	Cell biophysics research in the group of Dimitris Vavylonis
Athletics:	Some college basketball, intramural basketball, frisbee, and flag football. Tried everything from steeplechase to fencing.
What you love most about the league:	So many of the games are tightly contested, the officiating is stellar for a men's league, and the players tend to treat their opponents well because everyone is there for fun and exercise.
Did you know that:	I grew up in Vermont and occasionally on a cold winter morning I would microwave my socks and underwear. Once I put them in for 30 minutes instead of 30 seconds and forgot about them until my mother asked about the flaming pile of cloth in the microwave.
Little known fact:	The hydra is a freshwater polyp thought by some to be biologically immortal. It looks like a tube topped by tentacles but can transform into a gelatinous sphere if threatened.
